As our President himself is fond of saying "the law applies to everyone regardless of his standing in society".....

Senaka Wickramasingh Friday, 05 November 2010 11:51 AM

US/UK jealous of our freedom. They want all south asian countries to listen to them and do what they dictate. Before arresting MR they must take stern action against Blair and Bush for invading Iraq and killing innocent people in the name of "War against Weapons of mass destruction." Did they find anything at all, except destroying Iraq completely. Blair himself admitted that it was a mistake. So why come after MR?

    Perera Friday, 05 November 2010 07:05 PM

Well commented Fayad. Tony Blair and Bush should be taken for quesetioning war crimes. MR took a great decision where no other President or Prime Minister was prepared to take to wipe out terrorism.
No Sri Lankan should be bullied or be scared of the big brothers who are guilty of war crimes. They point the finger at us but there had been human right abuses left right and centre. Where is Human Rights Watch?

    Sena Friday, 05 November 2010 07:09 PM

Yes just like how he framed SF to publicise on stories about the war when he was in US. Ranil is still trying while the saint SF is in jail.

    John Friday, 05 November 2010 07:10 PM

And other countries too. There are no barriers to the President@s travel.
