    Well Said Brother....

I still wonder why the hell we don't think of a a five year or even a ten year development plan instead of worrying who will win the 2015 elections.

Are we all sure whether life is infinite ? Expect the unexpected ? Take it up positively and work towards development.

Just lamenting like this to get some credit is not very important now - reduce the cost of living and serve the poor...

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.

    zorro Thursday, 28 October 2010 11:53 AM

they talk like they know the election results already! may be they do too. They did this before the last presidential election too. Some bells ringing in my head. if he has said for all the good deeds we do the people would reward us, I would have appreciated, but there are no good deeds anyway. One thing they seem to forget, what happen to all these boot liker, when the Almighty has a different plan for the clan? I mean the Katchinsky brothers in Poland never thought that their fate would be like this how it is now!

wijitha soysa Thursday, 28 October 2010 07:27 AM

very recently you started to quote such silly thing as bread must be more than Rs.200and if workers strike they should remove from work . but you did't say so before the election.now you seems to be make MR happy to get higher poltical position.

    Sue Thursday, 28 October 2010 07:09 AM

Yes there is abosultely no doubt that the incumbent will be the winner in 2015. If he could win in 2005 from a difficult election, and with war behind him and with development projetcs bearing fruit with solid rural support base, its a forgone conclusion.

    Mohd Wednesday, 27 October 2010 06:34 PM

Then no need any elections to waste our money in the future & if its confirm go ahead!!!

    Ruwan Wednesday, 27 October 2010 07:13 AM

This is very true. It is not because of the UNP but MR has done so much . I travelled round the country every city, every electrorate something is happening. Amazing. After indepemdance this is the biggest development drive undertaken by any governemnt.

    Ranjit Wednesday, 27 October 2010 07:13 AM

Yes he may, if he can sustain the act of destabilizing the opposition. Before 2006 no one thought he will be our president and get two third majority in parliament . It all depends on how successful he is in retaining power by.unethical means.
He will definitely be the president if Ranil is the UNP leader.

    malkanthi Wednesday, 27 October 2010 07:25 AM

2015 is long way Mr Minister. Due to rapid development in many areas, none can predict who will survive by this time! By the way, you may be interested in holding a good ministry in the next term, so you started the laundry campaign.

    modawansa Wednesday, 27 October 2010 07:05 AM

You are making statements as if your party is having credibility.

    Wasantha Wednesday, 27 October 2010 07:04 AM

There is a huge competition to patronize MR. Don't they have enough work to do without talking elections scheduled to be held on 2015?. People have no more interest as they lost faith on elections. Why can't they talke somesort of meaningful action with regard sufferings of masses. Cost of living, dying of democracy , escalating violations in the universities and media freedom. Nothing other than personal agenda. Disgraceful Mr. Gommanpila.

    Dinesh Wednesday, 27 October 2010 07:02 AM

    New laundry man........

    Cynic Wednesday, 27 October 2010 07:02 AM

He will definitely win as the free press and the independent judiciary are both supressed. Naduth hamuduruwange, baduth hamuduruwange. However history teaches us NEVER to discount peoples power. A 100 JHUs won't be able to withstand that. Good luck to you under this dictatorship.

    m rifai nazim Wednesday, 27 October 2010 07:01 AM

Have a vision for 2015 without predicting of Election results. We are not worried about who will be elected in another 5 years time to the high office, we need to move towards a REAL DEVELOPMENT OF OUR ECONOMY.
