While condemning the alleged assault on the Secretary of the Judicial Services Commission, the Government said that President Mahinda Rajapaksa has ordered the Police Chief to take action to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Yet another episode just like Lasantha's murder. This is a very funny country where the Police Chief does not take any action unless ordered by the President himself. Maybe the Police Chief is not sure who did it and waits for a green light because he knows there is always a powerful politician behind these hanky-panky incidents and he does not want to cross the path of that politician. As one reader quite rightly said, this country has already become a Banana Republic.

This is the result of no proper Law and Order enforcement in SL.
Sri Lankan do whatever it pleases them. For the past so many months how many crimes were committed and nothing happened to the crooks. Now it has become a epidemic in SL and out of control.
