Mother jumps into river with 2 children

A mother jumped into a river with her two children aged three and seven in Valachchenai this morning following a domestic dispute, police said.

The children drowned while the mother was saved by residents of the area and admitted to the Batticaloa General Hospital.

The bodies of the two children are lying at the Meeraoda hospital in Valachchenai
