Moratuwa Deputy Mayor remanded

The Deputy Mayor of Moratuwa Sujith Pushpakumara (UPFA) was remanded till February 14 by the Moratuwa District Magistrate a short while ago.

He was arrested today over the murder of the Buddhist prelate Egoda Uyana Sunanda Upananda Viharaya Chief Monk Ven. Matigahathanne Wimalawansha. (Pix and news by Suranjith Perera)
