A mother of a hearing impaired twenty three year old youth has complained to the Anamaduwa police that her son had been assaulted by police officers and remanded after he was produced in court for allegedly stealing a mobile phone from a lady.
The mother had made a complaint to the Senior Superintendent of Police of the Anamaduwa police that her son had been assaulted by the police and that he had not known what was going on because of his hearing impairment and that he had not stolen the phone. (Daily Mirror online)
