    Messenger Monday, 25 October 2010 12:52 AM

This is not mixing of religion with politics. This is projecting justice and compassion by religion. They do their duty by coming forward against injustice.

    raj Sunday, 24 October 2010 11:58 PM

I thought you were spritual leaders like Dali Lama. Now I realize that you know politics too. Tamils have already experience of misscarriage.

    pw Monday, 25 October 2010 05:42 AM

I don't understand why these Sf lovers never talk about the daylight robbery of hidden money found in Danuna's mothers safty locker. She clearly said that was given by SF.

    pw Monday, 25 October 2010 05:41 AM

There are over 55 officers and 1000s of soldiers. Why do you need names ?? Are you still think that is a false information.

My personal opinion is that these religious leaders should not interfere into politics & loose their respect, unlike the buddhist monks who invade the politics.

    Ranil Monday, 25 October 2010 04:16 AM

Said Hussein Sunday, 24 October 2010 02:08 PM

It is not "miscarriage of justice" it is a form of legalised crime against humanity. Those responsible for this must be punished soon or later.

Like QE 1 QE2? More like Mugabe. You can change your name to Zim Lanka putha too.

    Don Sunday, 24 October 2010 06:28 PM

Well done the clergy. It is your duty to give leadership to the truth and injustice.

Please take the leadership, not only limited to a meeting such as this but cascade it to the whole country, day after day. If you don't give leadership to the truth, no one can.

mal kumaraya Sunday, 24 October 2010 06:20 PM

    AA Sunday, 24 October 2010 05:42 PM

Remeber he had retired from service. So why should he be subjected to a military court? The officers you are talking about would have been in service.

Concerned Citizen Sunday, 24 October 2010 05:22 PM

Shame on the Government. MR hang your head in shame!

Concerned Citizen Sunday, 24 October 2010 05:21 PM

Have you heard of the rule 'justice should not only be done, but also seen to be done"? In SF's case, the officers heading the court martial inquiry were anti-SF. So, there was not even a semblance of justice that one could have got from that panel. CASE CLOSED!

    Danushka Sunday, 24 October 2010 04:58 PM

Your name says your mindset. Nothing is proven although it has been months.

    pamodha Sunday, 24 October 2010 01:07 PM

Never heard of any of them? Where is the leading clergy?

    Jehan Sunday, 24 October 2010 04:29 PM

I am Critical about Fonsekas Conduct, and I Firmly believe that this should not be the fate of him, When KP is not sued When Mervin is reinstated, when mega fraudsters given top jobs and ministries a person cant justify this verdict against SF, the question any person would ask will be what if he was in Govt side will this be the fate of him??

JUNIOR CITIZEN Sunday, 24 October 2010 04:26 PM

SF should be tried for all those crimes. He deserves a life term .

    sampath - vietnam Sunday, 24 October 2010 04:26 PM

Good to see at least some clergies have the courage to stand for injustice. Hope and pray that they are not treated with hooliganism due to this.

JUNIOR CITIZEN Sunday, 24 October 2010 04:22 PM

WHY ,WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER LESSONS? LIKE hi-corp,
money in wallets, putting innocent soldiers in prison etc

    marlen Sunday, 24 October 2010 04:08 PM

we r with u SF...You are the peoples General.......................

Kishan Dissanayake Sunday, 24 October 2010 03:58 PM

they are both the same ;)

    daham Sunday, 24 October 2010 03:49 PM

He was convicted by a military court which consisted of three officers. During the time of SF as Commander of the army he himself had appointed military courts and sent so many army officers to Welikada. If military courts are illegal those convicted men should also be freed.

    Wasantha Sunday, 24 October 2010 03:37 PM

Miscarriage of justice is a deliberate act.
