Minor earth tremor in Kirinda

A minor earth tremor had occurred in the Kirinda area last night, damaging at least seven houses, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.

According to a DMC official, the incident had taken place at around 10 p.m. on Monday. “Further investigations are being carried out on the incident in order to identify the particulars of the incident,” he added. (Lakna Paranamanna)
