Man found shot in Pettah

A businessman identified as Kithsiri Rajapaksa was found shot dead in Mihindu Mawatha this afternoon, police spokesman SP Prishantha Jayakody told Daily Mirror online. The body was found in close proximity to the City Traffic Police.

The victim is reportedly the elder brother of an underworld member known as “Maiya”. “Maiya” was killed by unknown gunmen last year.  The police are conducting further investigations. (GS)
