A crocodile who is said to have been a man eater has been nabbed in Malimbada, Matara, Wildlife authorities said today. The Crocodile is suspected to be one of the culprits in the death of Nuwanthika Sathsarani a student who was taken away by a crocodile when she went to the banks of the river to wash her face.

The Crocodiles of the area have taken away three other human lives during the recent past. The 12 foot long crocodile was captured after residents and wildlife officials set a trap to capture it last night. However Veterinary surgeon Tharaka Prasad of the Wildlife department said that they are yet to ascertain if the nabbed crocodile is the one who caused the deaths of humans.(By Krishan Jeewaka Jayaruk)

Only the physically challenged animals prey on humans. If they adapt to the taste of human blood, they will then keep attacking humans.

Crocodiles are carnivores and ambush hunters. That's their nature. We can't punish them for being natural? May be we could relocate them to a croc friendly place
