A body of a male was found in a car near a leading school in Panadura this morning, police said. The victim was identified as a 40-year-old resident in Nugegoda. The cause of death was determined as strangulation, following a Postmortem examination carried out by the District Court doctor in Panadura.

Investigations revealed that Devanarayana had been employed abroad and had returned to the country recently and that his wife was still employed aboard. His relatives who identified the body said he was suffering from diabetes and that he was not facing any personal problems as far as they knew.

The body found lying in the driving seat was leaning against the passenger seat. The Panadura Chief Magistrate Ruchira Weliwatta who conducted the preliminary inquiry ordered JMO Panadura Dr. P.B.Dassanayake whose report confirmed that the victim had been strangled to death. Police investigations are going on. (Kusal Chamath)

People are dying of natural causes because of the pressures of high cost of living but most of all because they are unable to bear the unjust government and its family of rulers who are taking all for themselves and giving nothing to others.
After all we all have a streak of jealousy do we not?

This isn't Sherlock Holmes, Gemba. What about strangulation, suffocation, inhalation etc etc? But on a separate note, the rise in deaths have increased after the war and no justice is being prevailed. Even if there is, in most cases it is just eyewash.

I sincerely hope and pray that it was a natural death.

    Gemba Monday, 01 July 2013 05:59 AM

Either he was killed or died of natural causes. What take so long to decide the cause of death. If he was killed either by being shot or stabbed, there would be blood loss.
