Maithri is UPFA Chairman

President Maithripala Sirisena has been appointed as the Chairman of the United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA), a party official said today.

The decision has been taken during the UPFA central committee meeting held yesterday evening. Former Minister Janaka Bandara Tennakoon has been appointed as the UPFA National Organiser.

Susil Premajayantha will continue to work as the General Secretary and Anura Priyadarshana Yapa will serve as the Treasurer.
