Mahela Jayawardena scored the first hundred by a Sri Lankan at the 2011 World Cup a short while ago at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium. This was the fastest hundred by a Sri Lankan at a World Cup which was earlier scored by Sanath Jayasuriya. Mahela achieved the century in 80 balls.
