Results of uneducated people running the country. Better give this minister too a doctorate to cover up for GCE (OL).

Low quality petrol was first to affect Sri Lankan public and now if it is followed by Low quality cement it is a very sad state.
The people in governance should take serious note of this and should not allow repatition of this nature.
Please think of the country and its people first.

This shouldn't be considered as a isolated problem. This happens every where in the country. The main issue is non-availability of standards. If u consider politicians, do they have standard or qualification? How about, so called premier service,SLAS, do they have standard in promotion or evaluation of qualification? They just become to class1 after 10years of service as they themselves created unwanted number of class1 posts. As both of these stupids don't have standard in their trade(cann't say profession), they don't mind others standard. That's what happen in adulterated petrol issue also.

It is an open secret that this consignment of cement has been imported by the sister of a half-educated Minister - also a long jumper from the UNP, now in charge of an important portfolio in the government. He is also famous for debacles such as import of chicken, eggs, tomatoes etc.

The question here is not about a crown or clown prince, but inferiour cement imported to the country. Provide a solution to that before buildings fall on the heads of people!

How do you know about quality of this cement. No body tested any samples to prove that.
Independent Observer Saturday, 13 August 2011 03:06 PM
A sample of the imported cement must be given to the Sri Lanka Bureau of Standards for independent testing .
