The Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) has stated that they intend on examining the recently aired Channel 4 documentary on Sri Lanka as part of the commission’s proceedings.

“We have already examined videos as well as pictorial evidence including Unmanned Aerial Photography (UAV) and sought expert opinions to study the formerly aired video on Channel 4. Therefore the examination of this video will also be carried out as matter of course by the commission, independently,” LLRC Spokesman Mr. Lakshman Wickramasinghe said speaking to Daily Mirror Online a short while ago.

Dr. Chathura De Silva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of University of Moratuwa provided his expert opinion on the previously aired Ch. 4 video in May, accepting an invitation by the LLRC.  (Lakna Paranamanna)

What SL needs now is to hire a good PR firm to challenge the ch4 negative publicity.

sound like many of srilankan watched the video in youtube . Bravo!!

Ruwan Ferdinandez Saturday, 18 June 2011 02:46 AM

Sri Lanka annihilated a ruthless terrorist group if you didn't know, there is no need to talk about what happened there,. This is a report about learning lessons from the mistakes, as to why Sri Lanka couldn't do what the present government did for the past 25 years etc, not about punishing anybody.

Ruwan Ferdinandez Saturday, 18 June 2011 02:42 AM

Ranjana, Chathura is an academic from Moratuwa University. Also, British PM has to make statements in his parliament because that is where he works, it shouldn't concern us unless you work at a petrol station in the UK. If he made the statement in Sri Lanka parliament, that will also be a case to worry about. You have to learn, Sri Lanka government has the vital support from important partners, so a fake video will not bother them.

After watching the Channel4, LRRC might have thought Sri Lankan soldiers are not afraid of anything .

    Thakaradappa Saturday, 18 June 2011 12:01 AM

Even before the examination starts, the results is out - IT IS FAKE!

    Thakaradappa Friday, 17 June 2011 11:54 PM

Correct. It is not about making peace or reconciliation or justice to victims, but unleash more lies and deception to hide the already unleashed ones and call it PR.

Mahinda R wins always!!!. Jump to nanathikadal ltte funded diaspora.

    M K Nandasena Friday, 17 June 2011 11:31 AM

Ranjana thinks that only the White skined and foreigners are capable of giving an accurate verdict within a minut of seeing it. Poor mad guy.

    Roshan Friday, 17 June 2011 10:56 AM

You fool don't include SF in it, he was in the forces at that time. SF knows the truth.

Lanke Banda Friday, 17 June 2011 08:35 AM

Don't waste time as it is not Channel 4 that is speaking but MONEY of the Barbarians the LTTE in Britain.

    Shan Friday, 17 June 2011 05:52 AM

Don't waste your time It is already approved by US Experts..

    Lion Friday, 17 June 2011 06:54 AM

CHANNEL 4 Is funded by all corrupted europeans and LTTE Gentlemens. On top of that UNP, JVP and SF are supporting them. Anything to say ???/?

UK TAMIL BOY Friday, 17 June 2011 06:54 AM

    Ha.......ha.....oh.....ayoo.?.!.

    ranjana Friday, 17 June 2011 06:42 AM

What were Dr> Chathura de Silva's comments ? are the like the comments by the joker in Australia??. Don't show the world that we are ignorant people, like some of the politicians

Calistus Jayatilleke Friday, 17 June 2011 06:39 AM

Dont bother, this is another report going to the waste bin.

    ranjana Friday, 17 June 2011 06:37 AM

I thought an expert from the Moratuwa University had seen it and advised the LLRC. Don't be Jokers in the International Community. Experts and Forensic people and the whole world have voice their opinion regarding its authenticity, now some retired stooges of the GoSL want to give their opinion . One could imagine the answer would be the video is a fake. Remember the British PM made a statement in the UK Parliament they are not fools unlike some of our guys here, talking about bribing by the LTTE

    R.Dias Friday, 17 June 2011 06:30 AM

and say it is a ..........................a fake

    Dr.Wimal_Modawansa Friday, 17 June 2011 06:20 AM

If they are not authentic and if Channel 4 is bribed by LTTE why waste time?

    Concerned Friday, 17 June 2011 05:56 AM

............ and then make a strong statement afterwords?.............

    suriya Friday, 17 June 2011 06:00 AM

already your valuable findingsreport delayed . dont further delay

Ratasali iwarai Friday, 17 June 2011 05:54 AM

    no use....game is over now
