This may be the last election the UNP is contesting under their present constitution, but if they do not do well this could become the LAST ELECTION they contest. Irrespective of whatever is being said about the UNP, without this party the last of the semblance of democracy that appears to be there in our country will surely disappear.

LESLIE, YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT COUNTRIES DEMOCRACY, ? LET THEM FIRST ESTABLISH DEMOCRACY WITHIN THE PARTY,

JUNIOR CITIZEN Monday, 24 January 2011 03:37 PM

yYhiya is wrong. there are 'cannines and donkeys' as leadership aspirants, ask Ravi and Sajith

nimal gune Monday, 24 January 2011 03:44 PM

The problem with the UNP is NOT the constitution. The problem with the UNP is a the leader. If you dont change the leader, no matter what constitution you will lose.

Very true, Leslie. Amazing how Ranil doesn't realise that there is much more at stake than his ego.
