The Sri Lankan government has sought talks with the Tamil Diaspora as well as the International media in order to change their mindset about the LTTE and post war Sri Lanka, a top government Minister said.

Government Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, speaking to Daily Mirror online, said that the Tamil Diaspora have been misled by the LTTE and continue to carry out the propaganda of the Tigers.

He also said that some international media organizations give publicity to LTTE propaganda and in doing so tend to paint the wrong picture of the actual post war situation in Sri Lanka.

The Minister said that in order to give the proper picture the Sri Lankan government is keen to have talks with representatives of the Tamil Diaspora as well as international news agencies and media organizations. (Daily Mirror online)

This the excellent idea I ever heard form SL. This is a good move to improve the SL reputation among Tamil Diaspora and develop the country together. Tami Diaspora has the money to develop the country why not use it?

Quoting Francis Bacon " The only vise that cannot be forgiven is hypocrisy. The repentance of a hypocrite is itself hypocrisy" . So, let us change from what we are used to do in Sri Lankan politics.

Let us face the realistic way of approaching our problems. It could be ethnic, economic, social or environmental.

Let all of us face them together, because we do believe in justice and equality. Because, the whole world accepts such a believe- that fundamental believe must be the foundation to our prosperity

SL government needs to distinguish between LTTE Tigers and Tamil diasporas. If they treat all Tamils are Tiger supporters, then it'll be difficult to win the diasporas support
