If the ultimate result for using his pen to write what he thinks right is abduction, what justice can we expect from this regime?

    Monday, 25 January 2010 12:05 PM

please stop all these comments and think about this mans life. we all are just ordinary citizens who is depending on a monthly salary. what will be the fate of the children and his wife. can anyone tell why we cant work for a person we like? are we all have to work for MR? i do not know the reason behind this, but if it the reason for this abduction, dear citizens get ready for a dark future.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 09:06 AM

To Louisa! What more taint of MR's name. He has already done it himself. Did you get a bone out of his stock to lick or did he give his own stock for you to lick?

    Monday, 25 January 2010 09:07 AM

One can only laugh at the stupid theories propounded by people like Hen Ling and Louisa. According to them, every abduction is carried out by the victim himself and every murder is a suicide. There should be a limit to this madness and stupidity. Hope their brains will become normal after the elections at least.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 12:16 PM

No...No...He used "Kaluwara Anduna" & just became Invisible !.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 12:32 PM

    Monday, 25 January 2010 09:19 AM

no no no, Prageeth has hidden himself to discredit the Bo sapling Govt. Get real bozo. You are in safety staying in S'pore. That safety is not to be for valiant journalists and true Patriots of mother Lanka.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 12:43 PM

    Mekath lokkage moda wadak

    Monday, 25 January 2010 09:35 AM

Why do you not search Temple Trees for the missing journalist?? as SF will not stoop to so low tactics. People should try to look for the skeletons in his cuppboard before he became King of Sri Lanka !!!!!

    Monday, 25 January 2010 06:28 PM

What a shame: A journalist always carries a price on his head, for his good work!

    Monday, 25 January 2010 09:49 AM

    Lalith Gamalath

This guy is a direct descendant of the traitor Eknaligoda who captured the Sri Wickrema Rajasinha for the English and also robbed his and his queen's jewelry. Good riddance

    Monday, 25 January 2010 07:43 AM

One more victim of the Fuehrer?

    Monday, 25 January 2010 07:47 AM

Just see whether he is at SF home or at Rajakeeya Mawatha...

    Monday, 25 January 2010 01:38 PM

If you know Prgeeth, you'll not surprise about this at all. Don't worry he will come back to tell us a nice story !

    Monday, 25 January 2010 01:40 PM

    Monday, 25 January 2010 07:30 PM

    'Idiri Dekma'?

    Monday, 25 January 2010 10:02 AM

This is one of the best journalists who has been vociferous against all odds long before the Presidential election was announced. He has had the guts to highlight what ever was wrong with the system when ever an issue concerning the country was at stake. Rather than trying to find excuses which is almost tantamount to whitewashing this "worst of all governments" why not accept the fact that the government could no longer stand Pranith's forthright views.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 10:02 AM

He is paid to abscond and get himself dissappeared till election is over, so that JVP could get milage out of this.
These are old tricks that public will no more believe.
He is enjoying mug of beer in elsewhere.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 10:13 AM

Another last ditch attempt to save SF! I wonder who has written the script this time, Mangala, Ravi or SF himself??

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:02 AM

Now army commander General Sarath Fonseka is not
there. Still abduction of media men taking place.
People know who is behind this.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 10:15 AM

    hen ling,

the Swan does not need sympathy votes. He will win on righteous votes.
Deepest sympathies to MR and you.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:03 AM

This man is a good man.... but he is working for Bad web site,,,,,,

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:03 AM

WTF is this? Is this Mahinda chinthanaya??????? Vote for SF and show your vote power... He will do the needful

    Monday, 25 January 2010 10:17 AM

    Ajith lanu kala. Aney pawu!

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:04 AM

Is this what you call a true democracy…???

    Monday, 25 January 2010 02:20 PM

if SF does not win on the 26th the few journalists left who dare to write the truth will also be killed attacked or forced to leave the country.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 02:21 PM

Hen ling, you should try leaving your bubble in singapore and come to Sri Lanka to see the reality before you try to ridicule SF and the opposition

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:11 AM

This is another way of finding easy $'s.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:13 AM

    Please stop this against media

    Monday, 25 January 2010 10:31 AM

Why not try the Police cells first.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 10:31 AM

How much did you get from MR?

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:15 AM

The KING is losing votes by the hour..... !!!!!

    Monday, 25 January 2010 10:34 AM

Have you so much space in your tummy to swallow all this govt, propaganda believing it true because MR or WW says it so..

    Monday, 25 January 2010 10:35 AM

    May be Mervin abducted.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:20 AM

Is this " Suba anagataya" ?????

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:23 AM

don’t believe what you see but make your own judgement…..MR was under a lot of pressure during the war but he continued and end it. As Sri Lankan’s we are very ungrateful people. Voting is totally up to the people of our country but have some respect for a great leader who end the war for our own future, SF did his job and what was asked to do..My vote goes to MR…

    Monday, 25 January 2010 10:51 AM

Shame on you hen ling. Living in singapore u seem to have totally missed the bus . journalists over here have the freedom to write only as long as MR's virtues are extolled by them. Every single newspaper except for a very few have been "bought over" by the goverrnment. By either having editors as advisors or else givng them various hand outs or else having the owners closely involved in his campaign. etc

& this is what happens to the few who dare to NOT toe his line.

I hope this brave journalist has not come to any harm.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 10:53 AM

Calistus, Hen Ling and Louisa are reading for a degree in Gobels' theory.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:26 AM

This proves that the country doesnt have the democracy the govt boast about.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:29 AM

We know what the role played by e news web site. Totally commited for mud slinging. Nothing else in this web site. THIS IS ANOTHER SELF MISSING MISSION.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:35 AM

Will this be the last game before the oil-dry flame is extinguished by tomorrow?

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:36 AM

    Who said terrorism is eradicated.
The govt is sowing the seeds for even bigger one

    Monday, 25 January 2010 11:19 AM

This is not a real journalist ,he went supermarket for SF lying about MR corruption.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 11:21 AM

a journalist who writes against the govt goes missing.....

and who is it that is to be blamed except for the govt as it is da govt who said that the LTTE no more... so obviously its cant b done by LTTE.........

the only thing that the MR's camp has still not realized is that they still think that they can take ppl for a ride...... how dumb.......

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:40 AM

What do you mean General Sarath Fonseka is not there? Have you been living under a rock? Where do you think he is?

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:47 AM

People can not speak or publish to corruption and the truth.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 08:50 AM

On the eve of a Presidential Election MR is not that silly to taint his name. It does not take a fool to realize that this is a desperate and a last ditch attempt to discredit MR. Some commentators still think that people of Sri Lanka are ignorant and naive. I hope Mr Eknaligoda would turn out like last time.

    Monday, 25 January 2010 11:51 AM

He had written a very explanatory article in e-news which was not favorable to the government. Wow in this country jungle rule in best practices
