Landslide warning for six districts

A landslide warning has been issued by the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) this afternoon for six districts for the next 24 hours due to heavy rains.

According to the DMC, the six districts with landslide risks were Ratnapura, Kandy, Kalutara, Galle, Matara and Badulla.

“Public are informed to stay vigilant as the current adverse weather would cause landslides, rock falls and bank falls especially in these districts,” the DMC said. (Piyumi Fonseka)
