An organization called the North East Rehabilitation and Development Organization (NERDO) with KP as the Secretary had been registered on July 9, 2010, the Government revealed in Parliament today.

In response to a question by UNP MP Dunesh Gankanda, Chief Government Whip Dinesh Gunawardane tabled this answer in the House.

According to the answer, Thavaratnam Sinnaiya has been cited as the President of the NERDO.

The other staff members of the organization are Valenten U.L. Jayawalan, V.U.Jayawadanan, Nanthakumar Punaleraja, Sanmugapalan Thileepan and Kandhaswami Sentl Kumara.

The organization has been established for the provision of relief to the displaced persons while upgrading facilities for better physical, mental and living conditions for them. Also, it intends to upgrade education facilities of children. The office is situated at Kathresu road, Werawapuliyankulam, Vavuniya. (Kelum Bandara)

Diasporas are not stupid to donate moeney to this organization because they know that he will escape with money or that money will end up in the hands of war criminals.
