The family of Khuram Shaikh, who was killed while on holiday in Sri Lanka, say they are shocked by the decision to bail four men accused of his murder - half way through their trial.

The 32-year old from Rochdale was on holiday on Christmas Day in 2011 when he was stabbed and shot at his hotel.

The trial into his murder, which has taken more than two years to come to court amid fears of a cover-up, began at the High Court in Colombo last month.

But the trial has since been adjourned for several weeks, and four of the six men accused have been released on bail. (ITV)

The men who did the raping & killing should be killed like rabid dogs. Poetic justice. I also agree 100% as they deserve it.
Under the law, all are innocent unless proven guilty. Still, the life of the witnesses are in danger. The very reason that the case has dragged on for so long points to it. Politics & Power game.
So, on surface, it would have been better if they were kept under lock.
But while sympathising Mr. Khurram' family, they cannot release such statements as the justice system of their own country would have done the same. Or maybe the system in their country would have bailed them out at the very beginning.
Hope justice will prevail. This is a showcase trial to gauge our system. God save Sri Lanka.

Final Verdict: Khuram committed suicide. His girl friend lured the innocent suspects into the pool. She was raped by an alien still not identified.
