Kelaniya PS chairman surrenders

Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Prasanna Ranaweera surrendered to court yesterday through a lawyer for an alleged assault on a businessman supporter of Minister Mervyn Silva last Thursday (23).

He was under an arrest warrant after police briefed the court following a complaint made to the police regarding the assault.
He was released with a surety of Rs.100,000 by the Kadawatha Magistrate Darshika Wimalasiri. (Dasun Rajapaksa and Ganidu Roshana)
