This is a tragedy of the country not only for UNPers. Democracy will prevail only when good opposition is available. More than 90% of UNPers do not like Ranil. But this fool working comity does not understand this truth.
Kiris Baba Amaray Tuesday, 01 October 2013 10:57 AM
Ranil should be thrown out, then UNP will prosper again. Do that first.
Karikalan Tuesday, 01 October 2013 10:42 AM
Ranil Must Go! He Must Go Now!! Not Tomorrow, not Next week or Month, but Now!!!
Sim Monday, 30 September 2013 02:28 PM
Is there Democracy in the UNP?
Yehiya Monday, 30 September 2013 01:41 PM
Weakness is starting from working committee(WC). First create a fair constitution for WC. bring professional for WC Party leadership must elected through parliament members, PC members,& who got most preference vote local government. Ranil may professional but not a team player,You all have to thing people are suffering lot & good or bad general Fonseka is behind you.
Suq Madique Monday, 30 September 2013 10:57 AM
UNP needs to get rid of the main RW, and then the fossils in the WC whose thoughts and ideas are outdated.

no point everybody want,s ranil to resign, from the post of leadership. if not there is no sign of victory. ranil is a rejected leader.
Dilini Monday, 30 September 2013 07:03 AM
No way you will come out this mess unless you completely democratize the party. Yo can learn a good lesson by Western and Southern provinces. sweet dreams sir.
surendran Monday, 30 September 2013 07:39 AM
If RW does not know to resign and wants cling on to power there will be an alternative 2nd party. It's time for him to step down and be a hon member and somebody else should take the leadership.
Siri Monday, 30 September 2013 07:33 AM
last election Puba lead Karu, that shows his place in party,Ithink J Michel beter than him.
Renu Monday, 30 September 2013 07:30 AM

madiya Monday, 30 September 2013 07:29 AM

ananda Monday, 30 September 2013 07:23 AM
It seem that still party not understand what need to be done. 24% vote base will drip down to 10% in next election. UNP will become 3rd force. Government is winning not that they are good since no proper opposition. UNP must understand what people expecting from party today. If not............................?
linar Monday, 30 September 2013 07:22 AM
Tissa, are you deaf & blind? Even a 5 year old knows Ranil destroyed the UNP with the help of you and the working committee. You never deserved the general secretary post. Stop scratching the back of each other and GET OUT or we will throw you out soon
Sam Samarasinghe Monday, 30 September 2013 07:13 AM
Re-Appoint Karu to the Post of Deputy Leader.. Get rid of all who pushed the party into a mess, do not hesitate to take necessary disciplinary action against anybody just because his/her/ parents were big shots in the past..Cancer has to be removed completely before the patient die.
TooToo Monday, 30 September 2013 07:03 AM
A real leader has to take the responsibility the result of the elections. The masses has rejected Ranil as the leader. UNP under Ranil will gradually disappear from Sri Lanka political radar soon.
