Karaoke judge interdicted

Tissamaharama Magistrate and Additional District Judge who had allegedly attacked a security officer and two waiters in a night club in Kollupitiya and threatened them by shooting in to air with his official weapon last Friday had been interdicted by the Judicial Service Commission today. (SRF)

Are Judges allowed to take weapons along with them? Whether on or off duty. I thought weapons are allowed only for police & the 3 forces (Army, Navy & AF) legally.

We all know that some of the politicians / thugs too carry weapons, which is illegal.

But in SL anything is possible.

Dont blame the government for this jokers action. Guys, stop making everything political. This guy deserved what he got. But What are you gaining by blaming the government or the country?
These are the same lawyers who show their bar ID or AG iD or some ID when stopped for traffic violations and get away with it. Defense Ministry should open up a hotline where people/police can make complains of such incidents and culprits are punished accordingly. But then law has to be the same for all, including ministers sons!!!!!
