Kapilawasthu relics brought to Gangaramaya

The sacred Kapilawasthu relics were brought to Gangaramaya temple for exposition a short while ago and will be open to the public from 12 noon today, until next Monday.

Vehicle movement on several roads has been restricted in and around Colombo 2, Police said.

    "Kapilawasthu" was brought to Sri Lanka by the President in a well-timed and well-crafted move to coincide with the provincial elections. This is called selling religion for political gains. Its a pity that the ordinary voter does not understand all these machinations.

    Yes Lord buddha said that people can worship the relics in absence of a Buddha for the worshipers.

    Kapilawastu relics are same as Dantha dhatu and so many otherrelics in temples. So are you elling peope should stop worshipping these too?
