A Street Drama troupe of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) was assaulted by an unidentified group at the Panadura bus stand this afternoon, JVP media said.

A member of the street drama group said, they had been assaulted by a group of people with iron rods at the end of the street drama.

He said, five members of the group had been severely injured and they were admitted to the Panadura Hospital.
