The JVP today said it would hold a mass protest rally on November 18, if President Mahinda Rajapaksa announced his participation at the speculated Presidential Election.
The party said participation of Rajapaksa at the election for a third term would make the Election illegal.
JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva said that President Mahinda Rajapaksa got what he wanted from the Supreme Court in order to contest for the third term.
He said the JVP did not agree with the Supreme Court opinion and was against President Rajapaksa contesting for a third term as well as ahead of completion of his full second term. (Sanath Desmond)

Mr. even if you all conduct rallies for 365 days and even if MR stand for election for the 100th time, JVP will never get a chance even in the year 3,500. Because your party killed millions of Sinhalese youths and the Sinhalese will never forget this.
