This is the order of the day when no one respects the Courts - see the IGP and Army Commander ignores them - because of patronage.

    Nandimithra Monday, 26 July 2010 12:36 PM

The beginning was when the Govt ignored the Supreme Court order to bring back PB Jayasundara - and the Court itself caved in.

    S.Sriranjan Monday, 26 July 2010 01:29 PM

That's mean High Court is under Death Threats???

I can not understand why our legal process take such a long time. Lawyers are having a good time while poor people suffer. Not only this, even small cases takes years. someone should able to speed up the entire legal process.

    suwimal Monday, 26 July 2010 08:58 AM

Just see the logic behind all this! If the jury receives death threats dismiss the jury and appoint a jury that does not get such threats. What does that mean? You need not think far. If judge gets threats make him stand down and appoint one who will not get threats. Very logical, isn't it?

    mnsmart Monday, 26 July 2010 09:08 AM

Part of the terrorism has been eradicated, there are more and needs urgent attention....

It's the politicians...they are the ones who control the underworld criminals. This is not a new practice....started during Sirima's time.

    - A sad day for justice, in Sri Lanka!

    Saradiel Monday, 26 July 2010 10:21 AM

Is there an attempt to keep Kathriaratchi in custody to silence him, challenging the election's results? Who and what can we trust and/or believe??

    xlntgson Monday, 26 July 2010 10:38 AM

What would have happened if one of the main accused of the case was elected as a member of parliament?

    Lord Monday, 26 July 2010 11:40 AM

Who is the leader of these gangs, your guess is good as mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
