IUBF monks released on bail

Five monks of the Inter-University Bikkhu Federation (IUBF) were each released on a Rs.10,000 cash bail with and two sureties of Rs.500, 000.

The monks were arrested on charges of having damaged public property during a protest outside the University Grants Commission (UGC) recently. (FT)
