Why are we trying our best to impress them? Does it matter what they think of us and are we obliged to report to them? We are still a sovereign state right?

All that big talk of sovereignity is only for local consumption but when it comes to meeting foreigners, they go out of the way to impress them. After the delegation leaves, they will get somebody like Mervyn Silva or Weerawansa to castigate them in local stage.
