Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna has resigned ahead of the Union cabinet reshuffle Indian TV news channels report. Krishna, a veteran Congress politician from Karnataka, was likely to be dropped or moved to another ministry during the reshuffle.

His performance as External Affairs Minister was considered average and analysts often pointed out that foreign policy was framed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his top advisors.

Nice of him to resign before getting kicked out. If only our MPs could also emulate.

Indian constitutional and judicial discipline is of the highest order, though their politicians attempt to break rules all the time. Right now, Ministers and MPs are on the mat as exposed by NDTV the powereful independent TV channel 24/7 of land scams etc, all with documented proof. If only we had a similar channel it will expose malpractices but above all unite people of different languages and cultures as they doo in their public fora and discussions when one can talk in any language.

Maybe pretty soon you will find out about the court
case against him in Karnataka. He is better out of there.
He is not leaving to let younger people in, politics is the last
place you get young people especially in the higher jobs.He has been accused of a scam and the verdict is not out.

It is always better to go on your own when you know that you are about to be kicked out anyway. But, our politicians are made of stener stuff and they wait until kicked out and even then refuse to move. Typical frogs.
