Following protests against the release and screening of Santosh Sivan’s Inam, five scenes that showed the humane side of Sinhalese soldiers as well as the loss of LTTE chief V Prabhakaran were clipped.

The screening of the film, which was released here on Friday, was stopped after activists of the Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam (TPDK) attacked a theatre where the film was to be screened on Friday.

Just before the matinee show, activists of TPDK attacked Balaji Theatre and protested against the screening of the film. Stones were pelted and window panes were broken. Police resorted to a mild lathicharge to disperse the protesters.(The Indian Express)

Just a bunch of sentimental fools. There is no depth in their politics. We need to rally as Sri Lankans and kick them out of our society. via DM Android App

Hearing both sides out is a powerful tool in finding resolutions to conflict. Mediation as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Method allows for just that.. hopefully the concept of mediation and finding creative solutions as opposed to aggression will soon find its place in the region.. #SLMockMediation via DM Android App

Just ignore these marginal groups who make noise for their survival. It's noteworthy that the film also has been produced by popular artistes of Tamil Nadu. via DM Android App

So basically, there is no room for peace. If only...IF ONLY either sides listen to each other respectfully, we might be able see peace. Else, this will go on for generatuons. Hatred will be fed to the hearts of newborns. Its easy to fuel hatred, but peace is like earning for a living. You got to work hard. I hope someday, that our races wouldn't matter. via DM Android App
