Minister Mervyn Silva said that he is ready to face any inquiry held against him as he has done no wrong. “I’m ready to face any inquiry against me because i know I haven’t done anything wrong. What I said was that I trust that the President would not take any decision that would cause injustice. That is true,I know that the President would not take decisions that would be wrong or prejudicial, that’s the trust I have placed in him” he said.

The SLFP central committee reportedly has taken a decision announced that they would hold a disciplinary inquiry against Minister Mervyn Silva for his statement saying asserting that hat no one could touch him while President Mahinda Rajapaksa was in power.

The Minister further went on to state that the inquiry that is to be held is just a “flood” to which he isn’t afraid. “I’m not afraid of floods, I’m only afraid of Tsunamis. This is just a flood” he said. (By Hafeel Farisz)

Because he jolly well knows that the outcome is a foregone conclusion. The inquiry as done before is to save Merv fom prosecution and police investigation. Pulling wool over public eye. The present govt. has championed this art..

I dont see any logic in having an inquiry for a man when he is telling the truth. Who would dare to touch him, he is very well protected.
