Houses damaged in Gampaha, Bandaragama

More than 50 houses were damaged displacing 243 people today due to strong winds and heavy rains that lashed the Gampaha, Minuwangoda and Bandaragama areas.

Gampaha District Secretary J.J Ratnasiri said several roads had also been obstructed in Gampaha due to fallen trees.

According to disaster management officers, about 20 houses in the Bandaragama area had been severely damaged due to adverse weather conditions.
