19A: SC ruling read in House

The Supreme Court has determined that the 19th Amendment to the Constitutions is consistent with the Constitution but certain sections require a referendum, Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa announced in Parliamnet a short while ago.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that they were ready to remove sections require for a referendum.

If the thugs leave the Parliament there will NO 2/3 majority to pass this bill, Otherwise Maithri will need to dissolve the Parliament if the 19th Amendment fails to pass through 2/3 majority.Ranil only has the option to act within this parliament MPs if the bill cannot move then, Dissolve the parliament and start with new MPs.

Please ensure that in case an MP crosses over or votes against party whip, he loses the seat automatically and cannot go to courts because people vote on the principle that he abides by party discipline. The crossover carnival must end.
