Heavy traffic jams prevailed this morning on several roads leading to Colombo from Rajagiriya due to VIP movement. The traffic jams affected the areas of Town Hall, Ward Place, Horton Place and the Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte Road area in Rajagiriya. (SD)

    about 10 land rovers jeeps
    5-6prados
    STF Jeeps
    MP jeeps
    about 10-15 Mercs and BMW
    police bike
    tourist coaches
    and more vans
    i thought we r a country without terrorism. This is a waste of public money and time. why do they have to get so scared. They have to only vacate one line without stopping traffic. Cameras there for what?? absolute waste
