An unusual event occurred in Kandy last afternoon: The door of hearse belonging to a funeral director in Kandy opened accidentally and the coffin it was carrying (with a corpse inside) fell onto the main road in the heart of Kandy.

Typical of Sri Lankan's," lookie loos" at even a dead person. If in any other country, all would have avoided this scene and called the police or emergency services on their cell phone and reported to take necessary action. No one would have crowded around to take a look at a dead body.
