The main opposition UNP today said the Sri Lankan government should diplomatically handle issues relating to the resolution expected to be taken up at today’s UNHRC sessions in Geneva.

UNP Senior Vice President Lakshman Kiriella told the Daily Mirror that Sri Lanka should resolve whatever issue without triggering a diplomatic war with anyone.

He said this was what the people expected from the government as ultimately it’s the people who would suffer at the hands of any disadvantageous situation the country might suffer. (Yohan Perera)
