Hand grenade at Vaas home

An unexploded hand grenade thrown into the garden of former DIG Vaas Gunawardena’s house at Nedimala in Dehiwala had been found by the Police this morning.

Police said the grenade was foreign made and that Special Task Force (STF) officers had been sent to the location to deactivate the hand grenade. (Suranjith Perera)
