JVP MP Sunil Hadunetti gave evidence for the defense at the second Court Martial against former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka today, the defense counsel’s request to issue summons to retired Major General A.D Thoradeniya in Australia was turned down by the court.
A summons has already been issued to the retired Major General Thoradeniya in Sri Lanka.
The second Court Martial which examines the alleged violation of military procurement procedures during the tenure of the former army Commander was postponed till 2pm on Thursday, Army spokesman Major General Ubaya Madewela told Daily Mirror online. (Daily Mirror online)
