Democratic National Alliance (DNA) and JVP Parliamentary Group Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake charged today that the government is attempting to kill detained General (retired) Sarath Fonseka by allowing him to die of natural causes and by not providing him medical treatment.
However, Military Spokesman Brigadier Prasad Samarasinghe speaking to Daily Mirror online stated that navy and army doctors are looking after the General well and that he is not suffering from any serious medical condition. (YP & KA)

We don't believe any statements issued by the army any more. They too have been politicised. Should anything serious happens to SF, MR will have to pay dearly.

Yes you are right but for one thing. He should be guarded by female officers then all his problems will vanish.

JVP is wishing SF will die before the elections so they can get bit more votes.

Killing him softly , but surely. It is sad unlike the JVP the UNP has been cold and not doing enough to take the matter to the masses and international community. Sri Lankans its time to stand up for principles , since this man is worthy of the cause.

Better if navy or army doctors could check the psychological soundness of Mr.Anura Kumara Dissanaike first.

Govt. won't kill him, at this rate if he continues fast unto death...who should be blamed!
