Teach Nurses midwife's job and from next year doctors job as well. Teach Midwives, nurse's job and doctors job too. Teach bus drivers to driver trains and train drivers to drive buses. Teach Three Wheel drivers to fly plains and pilots to drive a Tuk Tuk. Entrust Bandula to handle this. Wonder of Asia!

Can any eminent lawyer tell me if we can initiate legal action against this unresponsible action by nurses/doctors. After all we pay their salaries from tax deducted from our salaries and education is also paid for by us.

Imagine private sector employees like us striking for such petty matters. We would already be at home.

First of all, we need to see the facts before any comments here. What i have seen here is Rights of nurses not given to them. There are worldwide recognized courses which are conducted in other countries. In Sri Lanka its very hard to provide them to nurses. Some doctors try to influence and block their rights. For an example disturbance allowance only given to doctors and not for nurses. Who is waking up doctors? I think everyone have their right right treated equally. Today Nurse were not allowed by doctors to attend their duties in some hospitals including Kandy hospital. I think government should take action against such officials, who is not allowing nurses to work properly and blocking their rights.
