The price of a domestic 12.5 kg gas cylinder would be reduced by Rs. 250 from midnight today on a Presidential directive.

The President has announced the directive today following a request by a group of senior citizens at Wedamulla in Kelaniya.

World cruide oil was reduced from 145$ to 90 - 95 $. Compare to internationa oil price deduction Rs.250 much low atlease should be Rs.750 deduction and other petrolium products price also shoiuld be reduced.

Whatever, however-much price reduction will not hold any water this time around. President should have learnt a lesson from the Uva province elections. Despite fuel price reduction his party could not save their face.

This is something I have been talking about. Expenses of Laughfs Gas is exorbitantly high. They were in serious financial crisis due pumping funds from gas trade to supermarket and some industries like tyre,and thermal power which were loss making.

They were not qualified even to get listing in stock exchange. But with bogus reports they managed and got thru.

As per their actual expenses gas cylinder can be sold exactly half price. At last president has listened to some seniors not the corrupt Consumer Authority.Prices of many items can be reduced in this manner. rice,vegetable and Diesel.
