Gamage willing to resign as national organiser

United National Party (UNP) national organiser Daya Gamage had informed party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe that he was willing to resign from his post if a suitable replacement was found.

He said he gave this undertaking so that anyone who was willing to work for the betterment of the party could be appointed to the post and that he was not greedy for positions.

“I even lost some of my property just because I am an UNPer. I even volunteered to reconstruct party headquarters Sirikotha when it was damaged in a clash and have nothing to lose even if I resign from the post of national organiser,” he said. (Yohan Perera)

Do not leave Mr Gamage you are the only person who can hold such a position in UNP at the moment. If you forsake the post of National Organizer there will not be a substitute and will create a big void in the UNP.

Ranil should stay.

One who suggests that Ranil resigns only wants to have a party without a leader, if one fails to name a replacement.

If there is a person who can muster the support of the UNPers then Ranil will not be able to hold on to the post.

Ranil is staying only because the UNP has no alternative.

You must allow grassroots level to choose the Executive members as today. allow Pradesiya sabaha Members also to vote to choose the Executive members. Without the village Level you will never succeed. Please allow the people like Imtiaz bakker Marker to contest elections. Don't do ant Prodawa.

What about Buddika can be duty leader and rest can be other EXCO. SO bunch of dumb without international backing. We will be back to square one as now.

Finally ranil will be the leader of opp and the YEAR 2014 President.
