Four people were sentenced to death by the Kandy High court today on charges of having murdered a van driver at Pelmadulla in 1999.

Five suspects were produced in Court but one of them had died during the course of the trial.(L.B. Senaratne)

Unfortunately, these four were not Provincial Council members. So, they have to face the full brunt of the judicial system.
