A group of four men who were showing and viewing a video film containing scenes of the past LTTE victories in the warfront, and its training programmes in an attempt to promote the LTTE organisation was taken into custody by the Serunuwara police last evening (17).
They were taken into custody during a raid on a house at Mohontuwarama in Eechalanpattu area in Trincomalee. Police carried out the raid on a tip off from the public.
The suspects were residents of the same area and two of them are believed to be former LTTE cadres. Police are conducting further inquiries into the suspects’ involvement in LTTE activities and to detect the origin of the video. (Amadoru Amarajeewa)

This has nothing to do with stationing Army Camps in the North & the East and Militerisation of Tamil Areas. Both Sinhalese & Tamils are watching this in the South & all over the World in Youtube
Think before you write your comment Baudda.

Yes you cannot prevent such videos being viewed by people as in this age social media provides ample opportunities for these. However if greivances are recognised and solutions to problems are given there is less likely chances of people viewing these videos will turn to violent means to achive their goals. Then these will be considered as action thrillers and nothing more.

Whether we like it or not the truth is LTTE is an excellent in all aspects. So their training materials should be part of our military training.

This is why we should not remove army camps from north and east as requested by some of our politicians.

I dont think they need to be punished becuase it is easily available on you tube and further lot of new channels show such video's.Further just because you watch such video's it cannot be considered as promoting LTTE!!

When you have done something wrong and purposely fail to admit and correct it and continue to make the same mistake again and again, then you have to live your life looking over your shoulder without peace of mind. The sinhalese will remain an insecure race.
