Former Mayor of Dambulla Municipal Council Jaliya Opatha was arrested today for allegedly mining and selling gravel worth over Rs. 1.3 million from a state land.

He is to be produced before Dambulla Magistrate tomorrow. (Kurulu Kariyakarawana)
