there's a high probability these "goons" are connected to the Lords of Tangalle. Thus, explaining the lack of arrests... I hope they burn in hell for assaulting a woman too.

It is not about tourism friend. We are disgusted about the crime, whether it is a foreigner or a local.

The gun culture is spreading from north to south, east to west in the country and the policy makers are involved in many cases. So where are we heading? Is it to HELL?

Is the president of our country blind or deaf? If he wishes, he will be able to change as he was able to finish the war.

At the end, it is the will of our president and no one else, can change the path of Sri Lanka, in the current atmosphere.

where was the hopeless police? have they made any arrests so far? . These goons must be linked to the ruling party!

    R. Ferdinandz Monday, 26 December 2011 01:26 AM

President Rajapakse should take prompt action and arrest and discipline the goons. One is a local pradeshiya sabha memeber and he had demanded to have the white woman for a night and the boyfriend had obviously objected. Subsequently a fight had broken out and the boyfriend was stabbed with a broken bottle in the face and killed. More information can be obtained from the hotel staff where this happened. This happened at one of the worst times possible when sri lanka was trying to rehabilitate her image. Unless this pradeshiya sabha fellow is disciplined fast it will be a black mark to all sri lakans.

    dave Monday, 26 December 2011 01:11 AM

By this way Sri Lanka will loose ground of tourists coming in. Now the law has no place, and anyone could commit a crime and get away, as long as he has connections.
Will this incident go in favor of the countries tourist industry is to be seen.................The future will speak.
Deepest sympathy's for the family of the deceased.
