DNA leader MP Sarath Fonseka raised a questions of privilege again in Parliament today and said that the was barred from attending the Parliamentary Consultative Committee meeting of the Defence Ministry held yesterday.

The meeting was chaired by President Mahinda Rajapakse in the Parliamentary complex.  The former Army Commander said that he was a member of this committee, but military officers did not take him to Parliament on time.

These military officers, he said, attributed the reason for the delay from an order from the top.

In this case, he said that his Parliamentary privileges had been breached.
