Five injured in Bentota clash

Five persons including former Chairman of Bentota Pradeshiya Sabha Jackson Kottachachchi were injured in a clash between two groups of supporters of UPFA candidates contesting for the local government election from Bentota.

 Former Chairman Jackson Kottahachchi (UPFA), who was alleged to have instigated the clash , was admitted to the Bentota  hospital under police custody.
UPFA candidate Gayan Sirimanna and four other supporters who were received serious injuries were admitted to Nagoda General Hospital in Kalutara. Two of them were brothers of former Chairman Jackson Kottahachchi. (Kirthiwansa Tilakaratne)
